An HPLC method combined with wavelength switching technique was established for the determination of chlorogenic acid, isofraxidin, rosmarinic acid and picfeltarraenin IA in Yinjie Liyan Hanpian. An Agilent TC-C18 column was used, with the mobile phase of acetonitrile (A)∶0.2% phosphoric acid (B) by gradient elution, at the switching detection wavelength of 327 nm (0—12 min) for chlorogenic acid, 342 nm (12—25 min) for isofraxidin and rosmarinic acid, 264 nm (25—50 min) for picfeltarraenin IA. The method was found to be linear for the above four compounds in the ranges of 6.0—108.0, 1.0—18.0, 1.4—24.5 and 0.9—16.6 μg/ml, respectively. Their average recoveries were 99.85%, 99.31%, 99.46% and 99.30%, with RSDs of 1.4%, 1.6%, 1.1% and 1.4%, respectively.
